Meet our team!

PRESIDENT, FOUNDER, SETTER

Han is a grade 12 student from Southridge School. He’s qualified for the CMO, APMO and has won Euclid. Outside of math, Han plays varsity soccer and badminton, and enjoys learning about geography, history, politics, and current events-interests that come in handy when he plays Reach for the Top, a competitive trivia game. At BCMA, Han hopes to share resources to give back to the community that has given him so much. In addition, he hopes to create a local community of British Columbians, one that he wishes he had growing up.

FOUNDER, CONTEST ADMINISTRATOR, SETTER

Ryan is a 10th grader at St. George's Senior School. He has participated in various math contests, such as the CMO and USAMO, and enjoys looking at interesting problems. Outside of math, he enjoys learning new languages and digitally sculpts on Blender.

Ronald is a 12th grader at Moscrop Secondary School. He enjoys examining unintuitive math problems and finding ways to make them more intuitive or obvious. He has participated in many different math contests and was invited to both the Waterloo EMACS Camp and the Canada Math Camp. Outside of math, he enjoys swimming, running, and coding.

FOUNDER, SETTER

Owen is a senior at West Point Grey Academy. In his nearly 11 years doing competition math, he has qualified for the CJMO and USAMO, and placed second in the Euclid Competition. He also enjoys doing coding and research competitions, achieving the Platinum Division of USACO and has represented Canada at international science fairs. Outside of his academics, he enjoys doing Model UN, playing the piano, and playing basketball. At BCMA, he hopes to contribute the mathematical community in British Columbia to support aspiring young mathematicians like him.

Jonathan is an 8th grader at Burnaby South Secondary School. He likes participating in math competitions and improving his problem solving skills by training. Outside of math, he enjoys playing musical instruments, playing various sports, and learning different languages.

SETTER

Hi there! My name is Bryan and I am in grade 9 at Eric Hamber Secondary. I have qualified for the AIME twice and got 2nd in Math Challengers, a provincial competition hosted annually in British Columbia. Outside of math competitions, I like reading, playing chess, and playing tetris. We hope you have fun with our contests!

SETTER

Daniel is a grade 11 student at Collingwood School. Over his math contest journey, he has participated in several math olympiads and was invited to the Canada Math Camp. He is particularly interested in fostering a passionate group of math students and this is primary goal in his position at BCMA. Outside of math, he likes to play table tennis and the piano.
